The Faculty of Health Sciences began its academic work in 1960. In terms of its organizational structure, the Faculty is attached to the Academic Vice Rectory and has the Faculty Council as the governing body that deals with the aspects developed in the three substantive functions of the undergraduate and graduate programs. Likewise, each program linked to the Faculty has a Program Committee and a Self-Evaluation Committee.
The Faculty is an academic and administrative dependency of the University, which by its nature groups the Academic Programs, and the research institute in Microbiology and Agroindustrial biotechnology; its purpose is oriented to the formation of competent professionals in the area of health and agroindustry.
