The Faculty of Education of the Catholic University of Manizales - UCM - was formally created in 1974, when the first undergraduate programs were consolidated, as a response to the socio-cultural challenges of the local, regional and national context that should support the training of educators for future generations. The field of Education is interested in the social and human sciences that focus on the educational development of communities and the people who make them up. This Faculty is nourished by the charism of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Charity of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin and brings to life the institutional profile in search of social and cultural transformation, based on the values of Truth and Charity.
The Faculty of Education is made up of men and women from different areas of knowledge, who focus their attention on education and especially on the training of educators, seeking to contribute to the educational development of the region and the country.
That allows us to understand why this faculty has bachelor's, specialization, master's and doctoral programs.
