As a graduate in Tourism Business Administration from UCM, you will have the skills to work in the public or private tourism sector and the ability to identify the tourism and economic potential of the regions by designing, structuring and directing projects for the creation of tourism environments in urban and rural areas. Additionally, you will be able to develop programs and strategies for consulting, advising and implementation of local tourism management projects or international cooperation in order to generate added value to the tourism industry.

In addition, as a UCM graduate you will acquire a humanistic, scientific and Christian vision, which will help you respond to the challenges of the sector with a global perspective and high quality standards with which you will be able to plan and manage tourist sites that help the social and economic development of the regions.

Areas in which you can work:

  1. Companies in the tourism sector in all areas of the industry.
  2. Entities, agencies and companies, national and international tourism promoters.
  3. Governmental and state entities that support the development of the tourism industry.
  4. Environmental and social conservation companies that require managers capable of integrating both factors for economic growth.
  5. Private entities whose mission is focused on the administration, management and direction of tourism services, such as: hotels, restaurants, natural parks, travel agencies, nature reserves, specialized guide companies and event operators, among others.
  6. Tourism and educational consulting companies, focused on the provision of outdoor recreational services.
  7. Foundations, ONG's and non-profit companies that encourage social and cultural tourism participation.
  8. Companies providing consulting services in the operation, administration, management, design and implementation of specialized integrated tourism programs.
  9. Private projects of natural and legal persons in the process of opening in the tourism industry.

Internships

Upon completion of all your courses in the Tourism Business Administration program, you will have the tools and a broad knowledge of the sector. You will be able to administer, manage, plan, operate and manage tourism spaces for the social and economic development of the regions. For this reason, as a student you will begin a process of internships in national and international tourism companies, which you will carry out during an academic period in which you will strengthen all the knowledge and learning you acquired during your studies.
