The Specialization in Cybersecurity at UCM is oriented to obtain and/or improve capabilities around cybersecurity: offensive and defensive security, laws and legislation, international standards, methodologies, with intensive use of proof of concept application in real cases, and recreating famous incidents that have marked the history of this field, under humanistic and ethical foundations for the delicate field to which the program refers as the security risk management of organizations.
Likewise, by studying the UCM Specialization you will understand the different types of cyber-attacks, analyze the risks of each of them and develop skills to design management systems and information security plans.
The Specialization in Cybersecurity offers training aimed at the protection, management and regulation of information, enhancing skills to defend and attack, from an ethical point of view, possible cyber attacks that organizations or individuals around the world may be subject to.
The Specialization has as strategic pillars of training the requirements demanded by the Nation in its Strategic Objectives on cybersecurity, knowledge of data legislation, how computer forensics is performed and operated and how computer crimes are prevented.
To meet this objective, the Program involves national and international professors and recognized experts directly from the industry and judicial entities of the country that live the day to day of cybersecurity, also with recognition for their solid academic background but also for their experience and research.
Additionally, the Specialization has homologation agreements with students or professionals from other universities and institutions such as CONFA Manizales, THE Hacking Day, among others, who will have the opportunity to use the new and updated laboratory infrastructure that will enhance the skills (Hands On) of the students of the Specialization, achieving a real approach from theory to practice.
