The Specialization in Ergonomics, of the Universidad Católica de Manizales, is the answer to the need to train professional experts in the transformation of work and social environments in the regional and national context, to improve the welfare and quality of life of communities.
Aware of the needs of the sector, UCM proposes this Specialization with the objective of responding to the challenges and requirements of diverse populations and, specifically, to serve the population with disabilities. To achieve this objective, universal design, an academic component of the program, is a fundamental aspect of the pedagogy and inclusive culture project of the Specialization and the Universidad Católica de Manizales, with its Campus Capacitas; which allows the Institution to enhance its environment, improve the welfare and quality of life of communities and provide adequate knowledge in this area.
The Specialization in Ergonomics focuses on the improvement of work and social environments related to health, quality of life and well-being, which are also part of a culture of prevention that should be included in society in general and in organizations.
For this reason, the program will allow you to analyze, diagnose and improve interpersonal relationships in the workplace, in the production processes that positively impact the work environment, positioning ergonomics as an alternative to optimize the processes of interaction and execution of actions associated with society and work, a decisive factor for the social and competitive development of communities.
