- The project "Quality Management and Innovation in Coffee Manufacturing Industries, in the industries located in the central-south zone of the department of Caldas".made academic contributions on knowledge applied to organizations, in relation to the potential of quality management systems to enhance innovation. On the other hand, it generated knowledge that allows identifying the factors of quality management systems that contribute to improve competitive capabilities in business performance.
- The research projects promote academic discussion in the program, and contribute to the development of the curriculum, on topics such as: knowledge management and innovation, creation of flexible structures for organizations based on work teams, organizational development, new technologies for work organization, integrated risk management and business sustainability, among others, and their articulation with quality management systems.
- The projects "Improvement teams as dynamizers of knowledge management". and "Work Teams in Manizales Organizations with Formalized Management Systems: analysis of factors affecting effectiveness and innovation". The project, which is under development, elaborates a diagnosis on the functioning of work teams in a sample of organizations in the city of Manizales, and identifies aspects that influence knowledge management. In addition, based on the results of the project, work methodologies will be developed for the teams to perform more efficiently in the organizations.
