Social contribution of the program
The Specialization in Prevention, Reduction and Attention to Disasters with the support of Social Projection and the faculty of UCM performs teaching, consulting, advisory and leadership processes in disaster risk management. These actions are aligned with the strategies and objectives of the Sendai Framework for Action for Disaster Reduction in the generation of local capacities and useful knowledge for society and risk governance.
Through diploma courses in risk management, planning instruments, climate change and advice on the preparation of risk management plans, the program has developed a culture of risk awareness, leading processes with communities, educational academies, governors and institutions related to the subject.
