Graduate Profile
As a graduate of the Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health you will have the competencies, knowledge, leadership spirit and skills to analyze, design and execute occupational safety and health policies within the framework of current regulations.
As a UCM specialist, you will be able to investigate, from the everyday life, the emerging events derived from occupational tasks, in such a way that you will contribute with intervention and development strategies to identify, evaluate, control and intervene the causes that originate health problems at work.
Areas in which you can work:
- Occupational health and safety managers from different productive and service sectors.
- Advisor, consultant, inspector or auditor of the occupational health and safety management system.
- Leader, coordinator and trainer in occupational health and safety.
- Design, administration and implementation of the occupational health and safety management system.
- Participation in the sectional or local occupational health and safety committee at the departmental or municipal level as representatives of different unions.
Social contribution of the program
The specialization in Occupational Safety and Health will have an impact on the business sector, providing suitable professionals and experts in the planning and implementation of the Management System of this area of knowledge.
The graduate will have the opportunity to work in any type of productive sector and intervene in the welfare of workers through multidisciplinary work, where the organizations involved will have as a result standardized and directed Occupational Safety and Health programs and processes, aimed at controlling accidents and occupational diseases of the working population.
