The Environmental Engineering program at UCM is the opportunity to expand your knowledge, acquire leadership skills, develop your creative thinking and help the planet with efficient and innovative solutions to environmental problems that arise every day in the world.
You will learn about the relationship between the planet and society, the current environmental problems and how to prevent, mitigate and reduce the risks of negative impacts on the environment.
In addition, at UCM you will be trained in engineering, natural sciences and social sciences, so that you will acquire a broader vision when proposing sustainable solutions, adjusted to the cultural context.
The Environmental Engineering program, unique in the coffee region, has high quality accreditation. As an environmental engineer at UCM, in addition to strengthening your critical, creative and innovative thinking, you will be prepared to seek engineering solutions to environmental problems that affect the quality of life of the population, through development, technological intervention, control and prevention in the use of renewable natural resources by society.
UCM gives you the opportunity to participate in calls, events and projects, with the support of our entire university community. Also, our facilities are a guarantee of your learning; you will be able to know and use the laboratories to train and acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in all areas related to environmental development.
On the other hand, you will have an integral formation with a social and collaborative development, with a humanistic, scientific and Christian perspective. For this reason, you have the opportunity to participate in classroom projects that impact the life of the community. There, you will be able to analyze, design, build and propose solutions to environmental problems in areas such as risk management, ecology, water quality, among others.
