Graduate Profile
The Master in Global Changes and Disaster Risk of the Universidad Católica de Manizales will be able to contribute to the solution of disaster risks generated by global changes; leading development processes with a systemic, holistic and complex approach, through the application of technological tools and policy management in different geographical contexts.
Social contribution of the program
The program makes its social contribution through agreements with public and private sector companies responsible for the analysis and control of disaster risks and the promotion of sustainable development, through the implementation of training in continuing education on territorial planning tools, capacity building for disaster risk management, instruments for the incorporation of risk in land management and development plans. It also carries out advisory and consulting projects with the research groups GIDTA and LUPA and the support of the SpinOff of the faculty: SIOTICTECH, with which extension projects have been carried out in entities such as GENSA, Aguas de Manizales, BIOS, EMPOCALDAS, CORPOCALDAS, among others.
