Graduate Profile
As a graduate of the Master's Degree in Pedagogy you will be able to address the contextual needs associated with training, conflict and socio-cultural change, with social sensitivity, ethics and an interdisciplinary vision in the field of pedagogy, which will allow you to investigate and intervene schools and communities promoting human formation with a sense of justice, social and educational inclusion, which will allow you to interpret reality with a transformative vision in different educational scenarios.
Areas in which you can work:
- Lead projects that promote socio-cultural change from an emancipatory vision of pedagogy as a field of action of the teacher's action.
- To advise on the implementation of teaching proposals based on research, evaluation and innovation that dynamize the configuration of knowledge in pedagogy.
- Research in the field of education and pedagogy, with critical-social intentions, to promote personal, institutional and collective change in the field of ethno-education.
- To be linked to organizations, both public and private, as well as to cooperation agencies that investigate, promote and disseminate their actions on issues related to pedagogy and research action in education.
- Lead inclusive education projects based on critical pedagogy as an alternative vision for the development and promotion of culture.
- Research on discourses of otherness in the pedagogical field, to stimulate social construction around civility, education and human development.
Social contribution of the program
The Master's Degree in Pedagogy with the support of the Direction of Social Projection and the research processes developed in the groups and lines articulated to it are committed to the training of educators, human development and the configuration of knowledge related to the most urgent problems of education.
The Master's Degree guarantees to the local, regional and national context, processes of conceptual and investigative qualification to contribute to sociocultural change from applied knowledge in the field of pedagogy. In this way, it is interested in the training of teachers from research and pedagogical reflection taking into account the diverse contexts of Colombian education in its various levels, cycles and modalities.
UCM is the guarantor of linking the dynamics of postgraduate training with educational realities and its strength lies in the understanding, transformation and strengthening of the diverse socio-cultural contexts of the country, becoming an alternative reference that allows addressing from pedagogy, an epistemic reflection aimed at socio-cultural change and the transformation of education.
